Darian is a certified and Registered Yoga teacher with a 200 hour yoga teacher training certification from Open Studio. She is also certified in Meditation. Darian has been practicing yoga since 2004 after a car accident left her with limited mobility in her shoulder and physical therapy provided minimal improvement.
She has a B.S. in Business Administration and spent more than 20 years in the corporate world of information technology and Government consulting before deciding to embark upon yoga teacher training.
Darian volunteers at local non-profits and has been active in a variety of civic organizations. She enjoys both a strenuous Ashtanga practice and gentle flow classes with time to "be in the moment." Her classes are accessible to yogis of all shapes, ages and interests. Darian's passion is to share the positive effects yoga has had upon her life in hopes of continuing this positive effect among others.


Sherry Boehme, E-RYT,

owner of Green Bear Fitness of New Bern, is a certified and Registered Yoga Teacher. Sherry has a 200 hour yoga teacher training certification from the Integral Yoga Institute, plus more than 20 years of yoga teacher training with combined yogic studies through the Bihar School of Yoga, Kripalu Yoga Institute and Omega Institute for Holistic Studies. She is also a certified Prenatal Yoga Instructor through the Professional Yoga Therapy Institute. Sherry has been leading group and private yoga classes in Craven County, for both adults and children since January of 2000. She has a ADN in Nursing with a background in both Obstetrical and Geriatric Nursing and is also a Certified Professional Midwife and Doula. She is proud to call the New Bern area home for the past 30 years and has been active in community service for both non-profit and civic organizations. Sherry loves nature and being outdoors and is an avid gardener, paddler and hiker.


Sherry leads a variety of yoga classes for individuals of all ages, ability levels and interests, both is studio settings and outdoors. She equally enjoys the gentleness of classic Hatha Yoga, the healing power of Restorative Yoga and being physically challenged by an Iyengar or Kundalini practice.


Sherry's personal mission is to share her passion for yoga, and fun family fitness, with adults and children in her community, with the goal of fostering holistic well-being and a desire to make a positive difference in our little corner of the planet.
